we curate easeful travel experiences that prioritize cultural connection & environmental stewardship.

As a lifelong traveler, I cherish the lead up to a trip. The thoughtful packing, destination day dreaming, and that long-awaited view from an airplane window seat.

But those brief moments of serenity are often overshadowed by what feels like an unavoidable travel symptom: Stress.Tight connections, tired nights, hours of googling to plan a “perfect” trip that ultimately requires a post-vacation vacation to recuperate from all the “fun.”

There is a more mindful way to travel - heavy on joy, light on worry.

I founded Puebla York in 2019 to encourage conscious travel through easeful experiences that prioritize authentic connection, cultural expansion, and environmental stewardship. Inspired by my life in New York City, Japanese heritage, and cultural connection to Mexico, we bring an AAPI, woman-led perspective, and deep appreciation for people and our planet to the travel industry.

A smiling woman with short blonde hair, wearing a denim shirt and white pants, leaning forward with one knee bent and hands resting near her knee in a bright, modern room with large windows and a white couch.
A woman with platinum blonde hair styled in a buzz cut, smiling and sitting on a blue bench in a well-lit indoor space with large windows. She is wearing a beige, short-sleeved button-up shirt and beige pants, with a small silver necklace and an earring. A large green plant is visible on the left side of the image.

I flew to Japan for the first time when I was 8 months old.

As a well-traveled child, my normal looked like bingo games on planes, making friends with flight crews, and growing up certain I’d become a flight attendant.

When studying abroad in Switzerland, I took a few side trips that required lots of logistics and a pre-smartphone, and I relished the adrenaline-inducing challenge of getting around on my own.

My perspective was constantly stretching. I was awed by Southeast Asia, inspired by Cuba, and so in love with Mexico that I sublet my room in NYC to move to Tulum after just one visit.

Travel expanded my world, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I was hooked.

My drive to visit, learn about, and embrace new-to-me places has never changed, but the way I want to experience travel has.

Somewhere on the path to adulthood, I craved more comfortable accommodations. I grew tired of overcrowded attractions and overstuffed itineraries. I became more focused on feeling rested enough to enjoy the journey instead of being bogged down by pressure to “do it for the gram.”

I became interested in how tourism affects local communities and economies. I learned about the environmental impact of global travel. I discovered that my purest joy comes from sharing those insights with fellow travelers and designing custom, conscious trips to the countries I love most.

If you're longing for a once-in-a-lifetime excursion without the overwhelm, stress, or intimidation that too often accompanies big trips, you’re in the right place. Let’s curate your restful, joyful, ideal adventure together.
